Electronic Poker is a favored game that can be played in casinos throughout the globe, or in your house on your home computer, using an Internet account. The game rules are absolutely straightforward and consist of the player attempting to get the highest combination of cards achievable in order to acquire money. In this respect it’s much the same as a normal game of poker, minus the interaction with competing players. Of course, tactics employed during a real-life game of poker, like tricking, will be useless in Video Poker.

The game of Electronic Poker begins when the bettor inserts credits (either tokens, tickets or cash) into the video poker machine and pushes the play button. A 5 card hand will be electronically ‘distributed’ on the screen.

The Video Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ written on them, and gamblers should now decide which cards to hold and which to discard. For the cards the gambler would like to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can choose to keep any amount of cards they want, whether it’s all or none.

After the gambler has decided on which cards he or she wishes to keep, the player will then press ‘deal’, at which point any fresh cards are needed they will be given out. The hand is now completed, with the Electronic Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it matches any of the winning hands listed in the pay out schedule.

Typically, the minimum winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money getting larger for each better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to 2 pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It definitely goes without saying that the pay out schedule can vary from game to game, so that experienced players are agile enough to select the most profitable game each time.

Once the initial round has finished, the player can either decide to stay on and try to to increase their winnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any cash that they may have won. Additionally, some versions of the game give the bettor a chance to double their profits, in which case another hand is played. There are also differences among specific games, with some virtual decks including wild cards and other varying characteristics to increase playability.
