Electronic Poker : Gambling Tricks

[ English ]

Like to play video poker games? Walk into any betting house in Atlantic City and one item you will immediately see is that the casinos spend a lot of layout space on game machines. Much of that arrangement goes to Video Poker. If you have played electronic Poker for even a bit of time, you know that not all games were created the same. As the years have gone by, more and more "unique" electronic poker machines have come into being. Today, I am going to share some of my electronic Poker tricks, I belief you’ll enjoy them.

Tip One: Locating a good video poker machine

Locating a great game is as simple as looking at the pay out schedule. You certainly want to stay away from unique pay machines that have larger top pay outs, but minimize the smaller pay outs. e.g., a machine might pay a bit more on 4 of a kind, but will pay less on two pair, flushes and full houses. Since you will rack up lower scale payouts often, due to the odds of receiving these hands, you should be looking for a good smaller scale payout system.

Tip 2: Wagering Technique

Learning how to gamble competently is a must. Your playing strategy will, in the long run, decide your average return and your final cash value. Understanding what action to take in a situation where you have, e.g., two Kings, but four to the flush is significant. Do you keep the Kings and the guaranteed cash or roll the dice for the difficult to get flush? Playing a great game with a good tactic will give you an amazing chance to win cash over the long term.

Tip 3: It’s random

For a while, I have observed individuals bet on Video Poker in Las Vegas employing all kinds of bizarre movements. Most will just use cold coinage to play, other will hit the buttons with gusto, some will hit the machine with their money prior to betting and the list goes on and on. Every hand is setup by a random number generator. The moment you start to play, the hand is set in stone. The game will randomly choose all the cards from a deck and deal them out.

Tip 4: There is no memory

This is a very important one. Many gamblers believe that if they start to observe hands with three of a kind, 4 to the royal and so on that the bigger hands are due any moment. This is simply incorrect. As explained in tip 3, the process uses a RNG to build the hands. The system has no recollection. It doesn’t know that you haven’t received a full house in four hundred hands or that you just had three, four of a kind hands in sequence. It is conceivable you could go 100,000 hands without a 4 of a kind and it’s very likely to receive 10 in sequence. The game doesn’t track, because in the long run, the numbers are a wash.

I hope these tips have helped you grow as a Video Poker player. Myths on how the game operates can be a lot more deadly than just gambling incorrectly. I’ve seen players spend (and lose) thousands of dollars on a game simply because they thought the game had a memory and was "due" to hit. Do not become trapped like this. Be aware that electronic Poker is random and must be gambled on carefully. Now, go experience some fun.
