Normally, the lowest winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money increasing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to 2 pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It goes without saying that the payment schedule can change from game to game, so that experienced bettors are agile enough to choose the most profitable machine each and every instance.
After the first round has finished, the player can either choose to stay on in an attempt to maximize their winnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any credits that they may have won. Additionally, several styles of the game allow the gambler an opportunity to double their winnings, in which case another game is played. There are also variations among individual games, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other differing characteristics to increase playability.
